From the ground up, the Brawler was conceived of as a go anywhere, do anything kind of footwear.  Starting with a traditional Derby boot design (the two-hundred-years-proven, rough-and-ready cousin of the Oxford), we took the best boot leather we could find, added a workman-like cap-toe, a full heel counter, and a rubber sole with a 100+ year history of it's own.  We then cut down the front facings and sprung the toe to maximize ease of movement and create the classic aggressive stance it's become known for.  But that's only half the story.  Because we also gave it the sleek profile, minimalist detailing, semi-blind eyelets, rolled edges, and hand-finished glow from the world of fine shoemaking.

So go ahead, dress them up with a suit for a night out or pair them with some hard worn denim on your way to the wood lot.  Keep them shiny with a bit of polish or let them age gracefully, allowing the character of the Horween Chromexcel leather to develop over time.
