How to: Introduction

Thank you for your interest in Ryaton Made-to-Measure Footwear. We're fond of saying that purchasing a pair of made-to-measure footwear is more like investing in a relationship than merely conducting a transaction.  Read on to find out why we feel this way..!

Β

What do we do?

Put as simply as possible, we take your measurements, make a pair of lasts (the forms that a shoe is built around) to those measurements, make a pattern from those measurements, and finally, a pair of shoes or boots made to your specifications.

Β

What does it cost?

The cost depends on several factors: the model that you choose, the material, the details and the construction method.  Everything that we do has a basic price break down as follows:

+ Customization (Measurements, patterning, last building, optional fitting pair)
+ Construction (Dependent on model, material, construction method, details)
+ (Shipping)
+ (Applicable taxes)
= Total cost.

Importantly, once we've gone through the process once, we have your lasts and measurements on file so you don't have to pay for that customization process again.  You get a custom-fitted pair of shoes without the cost of that customization.  This is why we're so fond of describing what we do as a relationship - both parties invest in a process that gets better with time.

Our Current pricing starts as follows:

NOTE: The description of our lines as "Men's" and "Women's" is not ideal, nor is it particularly accurate.  As made-to-measure shoemakers we make any of our shoes in any size for any individual (with some size exceptions) - and are always thrilled to do so.  Our site is still very much under construction and the "Men's" "Women's" descriptors are merely convenient temporary place holders.
